Last of the Red Wine – the first ever radio sitcom set in the art world! Devised, written and performed by: Doug Fishbone, Cariad Lloyd, Hayley Newman, Kim Noble, Michelle Owoo, Caroline Smith, Phil Whelans and Bedwyr Williams.
For Last of the Red Wine I devised the character ‘Whisper’, a performance artist with a penchant for durational work. For her first radio outing she appears in the middle of a 24 hour durational work in which she has to touch everything she sees. To help herself out she takes to wearing toilet rolls (like glasses) to restrict her vision… strangely, things don’t go to plan.
